My research focuses on the effects of anthropogenic factors affecting plant-microbe interactions. Through this, I aim to understand how microbes can be utilized to enhance plant health and resilience and sustainable environment management. I joined HelanderSaikkonen Lab, University of Turku in 2019 investigating effects of pesticide use on plant-microbial communities. I am currently the Principal Investigator of the HeMetAP project (funded by Sakari Alhopuro foundation) and tutor for lab courses.
